Norad and Santa
December 23, 2007For those of you with kids this website has become invaluable to us. For some reason that pixelated little red and white man still gets my kids excited to follow him around the world.
It is a neat site which they have now added online games and things to this year. My family listen to the Norad reports on TV and radio when I was a small sprog.
So as a public service to those reading this blog here you go…

Josephus and Christ
December 21, 2007Watching a show recently about Jesus, called the Pagan Jesus it was a typical secular hatchet job on early Christianity. However within it was an interesting commentary on Jesus. The only first century evidence in ancient writings (according to the show) was Josephus.

Expounding on the martyrdom qualifications of those at Haun’s Mill
December 17, 2007At Times and Seasons and Juvenile Instructor David Grua has launched an interesting question about the position of church members on the two views of Haun’s Mill.
1. That they were martyrs for the gospel
2. That they failed to listen to sound council of the leadership and were killed as a consequence.
Here is my original remarks on this as well as some expansion.
In the view of some of the research I have done on this, while nowhere near as extensive as David I think it is still significant to the conversation.

As God is my witness I thought Turkeys could fly!
December 15, 2007One of my all time favourite lines from WKRP in Cincinnati. I have been interested in getting the new DVD which was released this year. Edited though it is I just could not see any reason not to own it this year.
So I asked my beloved wife if she would get that or the Great Escape and well WKRP we found at Walmart so there you go.
